Hormonal yogatherapy

Hormonal Yoga Therapy is a natural and holistic method created by Dinah Rodrigues, designed especially to support women through the different stages and hormonal changes of their lives.

It is particularly suitable for women during perimenopause and menopause, as well as for women experiencing cycle-related or hormonal well-being concerns, such as premenstrual syndrome, amenorrhea or certain thyroid function disorders.

It may also be of interest to women who wish to become pregnant and are looking to naturally support their hormonal balance and overall well-being, especially when menstrual cycle irregularities are present.

The method combines a dynamic sequence of exercises inspired by Hatha Yoga, Energy Yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Tibetan techniques, together with breathing exercises, concentration and energy techniques.

The practice focuses particularly on certain areas and glands related to the female hormonal system, such as the ovaries, pituitary gland, thyroid and adrenal glands.

According to the method developed by Dinah Rodrigues, the aim of the practice is to naturally stimulate and balance hormonal activity while also increasing vitality and overall well-being.
The practice may contribute to well-being during perimenopause and menopause and help women cope with symptoms such as hot flashes, reduced libido, vaginal dryness, fatigue, sleep disturbances, stress and emotional changes.

In addition, the physical practice promotes mobility and circulation in the pelvic area, strengthens the muscles, increases vitality and helps develop greater body awareness and connection with oneself.

Contraindications

Hormonal Yoga Therapy is not recommended during pregnancy. Once pregnancy has been confirmed, this practice should be discontinued and replaced with a practice suitable for pregnancy.

There are also certain situations in which the practice is contraindicated or requires prior medical assessment, including some hormone-dependent cancers, endometriosis, thrombosis, glaucoma, certain surgical procedures and other specific medical conditions.

In the event of illness, medical treatment, significant hormonal problems or difficulties becoming pregnant, it is recommended to consult the appropriate healthcare professional beforehand.

Hormonal Yoga Therapy is a complementary well-being practice and does not replace medical diagnosis, monitoring or treatment.
